WEB-08Live portfolio
Flagship Applications · Interactive web portfolio
I built a Windows 98-era park-control interface that presents my crawlable technical evidence through an interactive desktop and conventional routes.
VISUAL EVIDENCE
Live surfaces and project records.
OPEN FULL SIZEThe problem I addressed
I wanted a memorable themed portfolio that still remains accessible, maintainable, responsive and useful to hiring managers and search engines.
What I built
- Boot, visitor gate, guided tour and recruiter scan
- Centralised draggable window system with taskbar state
- Conventional server-rendered routes for core content
- Metadata, structured data, sitemap and robots support
- Interaction-gated audio with saved preferences
My role
I designed and developed the portfolio.
Why this matters to me
I use the portfolio itself as evidence of my frontend implementation, systems thinking, technical SEO and maintainable product architecture.
Decisions I made
- Preserved the operating-system metaphor while adding ordinary URLs
- Kept large content records outside the window manager
- Used browser storage only for device-local preferences and session behavior
Challenges I handled
- Balancing theme with accessibility
- Making draggable windows usable on small screens
- Keeping content crawlable beneath a client interaction layer
System signals
- Live on Hostinger
- Responsive
- Keyboard accessible
- Server-rendered routes
- Automated smoke tests
Technologies used
Next.jsReactTypeScriptCSSStructured dataAccessibility
Current limitations
- I currently use a temporary Hostinger domain while I decide on the final domain
- I still need to make a separate public-usage rights decision for the supplied soundtrack
