The problem I addressed

I worked on a brand brief that needed a polished online retail experience connecting content management, commerce and dependable delivery performance.

What I built

  • A product-led furniture and homeware storefront
  • Shopify commerce integration
  • Umbraco content management integration
  • A push-based content delivery workflow

My role

I worked as part of the commercial web team on the storefront and platform integration scope.

Why this matters to me

I use Woodculture to demonstrate practical ecommerce and CMS integration experience on a public site that remains active today.

Decisions I made

  • Kept commerce and editorial content responsibilities clearly separated
  • Supported a product-first browsing experience across device sizes
  • Used established platforms where they reduced operational overhead

Challenges I handled

  • Coordinating commerce and content systems
  • Maintaining a premium visual experience around a large catalogue
  • Supporting a live retail operation with minimal disruption

System signals

  • Live ecommerce
  • Shopify
  • CMS integration
  • Commercial team contribution

Current limitations

  • I describe my contribution to the commercial team and do not claim sole ownership of the current storefront
  • The live catalogue and presentation continue to change as part of normal retail operation
